New Venue

MFPT has moved to a new venue for 2008 - the Sheraton Oceanfront Hotel.  This hotel gives us a more central location in downtown Virginia Beach, something that your feedback at MFPT 61 showed would be popular.

As you might expect, the move means that the accommodation is a little more expensive, but we have arranged a block of rooms at a special conference rate of $139 + applicable state and local taxes (currently 13% and $1.00 per night occupancy).  To obtain this rate call the Hotel directly at (757) 425-9000, or central reservations at (800) 325-3535, and mention 'Society for Machinery Failure Prevention Technology' when you book.  We have also arranged 25 rooms at the per diem rate for government attendees, which will be available on a 'first come first served' basis.  The hotel package includes free parking for one car per room for the duration of your stay, and we have also negotiated free in-room wireless internet access for MFPT 62 attendees (for which a coupon will be given to guests on arrival).
