Endurica LLC develops the world’s most versatile and best-validated fatigue life simulation system for elastomers. It is a simulation software that empowers its users to analyze the fatigue performance of elastomers under real-world service conditions. This is done at the design stage, when the greatest opportunity exists to influence performance, and before investment in costly fatigue testing of prototypes. Endurica estimates the fatigue life of a rubber component. Based on the mechanical duty cycle computed in the Finite Element Analysis, and a specification of the rubber’s material properties, it computes the number of repeats of the duty cycle that are required to produce a small crack at each location within the component. The duty cycle is read from the finite element model as a time domain signal specifying the components of the strain tensor. After computing the fatigue life for each element, the results may be visualized as color contours showing the critical locations where cracks will initiate.

This Exhibitor slot represents the Reliability and Failure Analysis Lab (RFAL) at the University. We are heavily involved in failure analysis and HUMS analysis. We are currently using a probabilistic algorithm to produce "actionable information" from raw HUMS data coming from aircraft. The booth will have representatives of the HUMS team along with the output of the algorithm.
